We offer an outpatient program for scoliosis patients who are seeking a non-surgical approach to scoliosis management. The therapy is a breathing an exercise based program incorporating the Schroth Method and Best Practice approaches of Germany. This program is not chiropractic, although chiropractic in conjunction with this program can be beneficial. The Schroth Method and Best Practice is for patients who want to address scoliosis proactively rather than “wait and watch”. We also see patients who are or have been braced, those who cannot or choose not to have surgery, or post-surgical patients for improved posture and stabilization. When the exercises and activities of daily living are incorporated and practiced on a regular basis, patients report benefits including pain relief, improved posture and pulmonary function, increased flexibility and endurance, and an improved appearance. After completing the program, our scoliosis patients tell us they have a better understanding of their scoliosis, feel empowered and less overwhelmed about having scoliosis.
